Sweet swinging Steve Elkington hopes his success in Florida continues, Mizuno MP-58 Irons where the PGA TOURs swing begins with this weeks Doral-Ryder Open. A final-round 64 brought Elkington his second Doral victory last year over the Blue Monster Course, mizuno mp-52 irons by one stroke over Greg Kraft.
The Australian's previous win on the Blue Monster, in 1997, Mizuno MP-60 Iron Set was by two strokes over Nick Price and Larry Nelson. Elkington also has captured the closing event on the Florida swing, Golf Irons The Players Championship, twice, in 1991 and 1997.
A 10-time winner on the PGA Tour, Elkington has this thing about winning tournaments twice. His other victories include two at the season-opening Mercedes Championships and two at the Buick Challenge. Last years closing 64 carried Elkington from six strokes back. Golf Clubs that was the best come-from-behind victory at the Doral-Ryder Open since 1990, when Greg Norman came from seven strokes behind.
